The team of the European Centre provided an online training on ‘Innovation in long-term care and quality assurance in delivering social services’ to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Moldova in November 2023.
This report summarises insights gained during the Policy Review “Gender Equality and Care for Relatives”. The event served as a platform for the BB countries to explore their experiences, strategies, existing institutional structures and approach in care policies related to two crucial aspects for gender equality: policies that help women integrate into the job market and policies on support systems for those in need of care.

Protest demonstrations have been arising from time to time demanding both miners’ labor and social rights, such as: improving safety guarantees, enhancing working conditions and providing equitable wages. Currently, on June 14, 2023, in the western mining city 3,000 miners went on strike demanding increase in wages, improvements in safety conditions, better insurance, and nutrition, 12-hour shifts, vacations, technology upgrades and curbing of pollution caused by the extraction.
The final outputs of the FELM project have been published in a final report that includes a regulatory, quantitative and qualitative analysis of third-country companies and workers’ access, trends and characteristics in the European construction market.
