Study visit: Moldovan high-level delegation in the frame of the Data for Impact project

On 17 January 2024 the Moldovan high-level delegation engaged in a study visit in the frame of the Data for Impact project (funded by USAID) at the European Centre in Vienna. This is part of the ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova as part of our Bridge Building function. The meeting was attended by Vasile Cușca, Secretary of State, as well as delegates from the National Employment Agency, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the Council for Preventing and Eliminating Discrimination and Ensuring Equality, the Ombudsman, the Deputy Ombudsman, and the Ministry of Education and Research.

 

The aims of the study visit were

  • to introduce the European Centre and its microsimulation tools EUROMOD and SORESI and
  • to provide input on data collection on marginalised groups and practices of evidence-based policy making in the areas of social protection and social inclusion in Austria and Europe
