Our colleague Sonila Danaj presented research led by the Head of Work and Welfare Unit Anette Scoppeta on the integration of employment and social services in the Western Balkans at the 5th Conference organized by the LSEE Research Network on Social Cohesion in South East Europe in collaboration with EBRD Economic and social inclusion in an age of political uncertainty in South East Europe. The event took place at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Belgrade on the 21-22 November 2019. Read about the project.
The international workshop SDGs Priorities & Challenges of Social Policy in the Eastern Partnership Countries was held to support the reforms and smooth transitions of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries in adapting national policies towards achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The European Centre organised the 2nd BB Policy Review on ‘Gender Equality and Care for relatives’ on 05 and 06 June 2023. Around 40 representatives registered from ministries and public bodies from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, and Ukraine.

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection enabled the European Centre to extend the BB Peer Reviews and Trainings project in the Bridge Building countries until March 2024.
The guidelines and toolkit presented here are intended to assist Public Employment Services and Centres for Social Welfare in the Western Balkans to build up integrated case management systems.
