New project: Comparative analysis of job quality and working conditions in the Western Balkans

Eurofound has contracted FREN and the European Centre to conduct a comparative analysis on job quality and working conditions in the Western Balkan region. The study will be based on data from the 2021 European Working Conditions Telephone Survey (EWCTS) that was also fielded in the six countries of the Western Balkans and an expert meeting that aims to enhance understanding among policymakers and stakeholders of the relevance and ways to support the improvement of working conditions and gender equality at work. The European Labour Authority has commissioned a study on the participation of third-country workers in the provision of services through posting within the European Union to be conducted by the European Centre in collaboration with Milieu Consulting SRL during 2024. The study concerns the collection of background material and drafting of a report on contracting chains and recruitment patterns of posted third-country nationals for three case studies, namely Poland, Portugal, and Slovenia.
