The first session of Jour Fixe 2020: Posting of Workers in Western Balkans by Sonila Danaj
The international workshop SDGs Priorities & Challenges of Social Policy in the Eastern Partnership Countries was held to support the reforms and smooth transitions of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries in adapting national policies towards achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Sonila Danaj presented research on the integration of employment and social services in the Western Balkans at the 5th Conference, Faculty of Economics of the University of Belgrade, 21-22 November 2019.
The final EEPOW national event was held on 14 November 2019 in Bitola, North Macedonia. The event was organized as a panel discussion moderated by Aleksandra Iloska, PUBLIC, under the title Migration, Labour Mobility and Cross-Border Cooperation with inputs from our colleague Sonila Danaj,
The final international conference of the Posting of Workers in Eastern Europe project brought together all project partners, associated partners and other stakeholders from the eight participating countries on 24 October 2019. Our colleague, Sonila Danaj, presented the project and the deliverables achieved in the two years of project implementation.

The EESPN workshop SDGs priorities & challenges of scocial policy in the Eastern Partnership countries took place at the Europeanc Centre, in Octobre 2019. 22 participants as well as the ‘reflecting friends’ from other UNECE countries discussed common and country specific challenges and opportunities.
The European Centre organises a seminar on the future of the posting. The seminar focus on the persistent and under-researched trend of recruiting and posting of third country nationals to work in single European market.
On the 26 June 2019, CIOFS-FP organised a peer review in the frame of the Posting of Workers in Eastern Europe (EEPOW) project. The focus was on the bilateral and multi-lateral cross-border mechanisms and tools employed by Member States in order to better implement the Directive 96/71/EC.
