The social investment approach in Western Balkan & Eastern Partnership countries
At the 5th BBinar on the Social Investment Approach in Western Balkan and Eastern Partnerhsip Countries on June 13, 2023 about 40 stakeholders from international organisations, ministries, civil society, NGOs, universities, and research institutes throughout the UNECE region came together to discuss what role the social investment approach to social welfare policies can and should play in supporting sustainable development in the Western Balkan and the Eastern Partnership countries.
ACTIVITIES
Contracting chains and recruitment patterns of posted TCNs within the EU
The European Labour Authority has commissioned a study on the participation of third-country workers in the provision of services through posting within the European Union to be conducted by the European Centre in collaboration with Milieu Consulting SRL during 2024. The study concerns the collection of background material and drafting of a report on contracting chains and recruitment patterns of posted third-country nationals for three case studies, namely Poland, Portugal, and Slovenia.
EVENTS
Project Event: JUSTMIG Kick-Off
The new project ‘Sustainable and socially just transnational sectoral labour markets: Industrial relations and labour market adjustment to the rise in temporary labour migration’ kicked off on the 10 January 2024 with a two-day event in Bratislava, Slovakia.
